Hi guys,
After a long time. Was busy with gigs and practice sessions with my bands.
Just to inform you guys. I have been playing gigs with my new band "Khiladi". You can check the songs on www.myspace.com/khiladi.
So I had a gig with Prayag after a long time. And it has to be big as always. This time it was a new experience to play in front of school kids on their school fest. They were not the regular studious school kids (They are studious but), but they had the talent of playing music along with performance of Bharat naatyam and other forms of dance. They were just brilliant on stage. They even had a 25 piece Acapella singing "Maa Tujhe Salaam" by A. R. Rahman.
The time when we just entered the venue, Naveen (Guitarist, Prayag) and me were totally feeling like outsiders coz the only people inside the auditorium that we could see were small 5th or 6th standard kids with their Moms. But the whole night was about music, performances from different students, and all the parents had especially come to watch their kids playing live music.
It was just great to be a part of that. Loyola school should be called Loyola music institute with so much interest taken right from the principal (who was sitting in front of the sits while the bands were performing) to the students and their parents.
Next up was Prayag on stage. And the response that we got from those school kids was simply great. They were the loudest crowd we have ever played in front of. They knew all the songs that we were about to play. And were singing along with us. And the best part was, they knew some of our originals. And even appreciated other originals.
Overall, an awesome experience for us. Just becoz we have the crowd filled with six year olds to sixty year olds enjoying our music.
Next up is Khiladi playing three different competition fest in Mumbai starting from today. First up, is Ruia college, Dadar, and then tomorrow at NJJBTB and then at IIT Powai on Friday.

Today I came across this youtube video of Meshuggah drummer playing the most difficult songs to be ever played on drums. "Bleed". And look at the video, how easily and smoothly he is playing and enjoying the song.

How I started blogging
Hi,
Was just chatting with my brother after some two weeks. And he was surprised to see me keeping this blog running. So this is what I told him about how I started blogging.
It was all becoz of this site called Twitter in which you can type whatever you are doing currently. It is something like the status update on Facebook. But there is a limit to the number of words you type in one message. When I initially started writing, the space was enough. But then I was getting addicted, and needed more space to write about whatever was happening. This made me start writing online exclusively. I have never written a single comment on any forum or sites like that. The only site I used to put comments was Myspace. Later on, I need something even more comprehensive than twitter, so that is when I started with blogging.

And the winner for Rink Football Tournament is......
LENNON B Team
And yes, they deserved it. They had the final match against BPO (the team who won against Lennon A(My team)).
The game started off slowly, with both the teams playing defensively and trying to keep possession. There were some chances created by Lennon B. Jomy, as always, was around the ball. That helped them creating chances at the goal. And finally just 3 minutes before half time, Harshad blasted one in for Lennon B. At half time, the scoreline was 1-0 with Lennon B leading.
Second Half was even more exciting, with Lennon B keeping the attack going. There were chances for BPO as well, but did not convert them to potential goals. Coz we had the big wall, Pman on the post.
And then the blazing kick of Jomy, which apparently broke the side supporting wood of the post. Awesome set pieces, and bang!!!! The ball was in in a flash. They had 6 more minutes to go.
BPO were trying every possible opportunity to come close to the getting the scores leveled. And Rickson did get one goal, which went past Pman's face. 3 minutes left, and BPO were trailing 1-2. But Lennon B's defensive kept the scoreline unchanged.
Overall, exciting match in the end. It was looking slower than the semi-final match between BPO and Lennon A. But this match was thrilling than any of the other matches in the whole tournament. I will be uploading some pics of the winning team and also some video footages of the matches. So keep checking.

Insane Gig at Resurrection VIII
This is about the performance of Demonic Resurrection at Resurrection VIII. The venue, which was something that people were talking about, was a decent place. It was indoor, so there was a lot of boom in the overall sound. The drums were loud enough even without the mics. The engineer being Fali, took care of all that. And the outcome was that this was one of the best metal gig this year for me. All the bands were tight and original. My best pick was Myndsnare, who have also come up with their album. All the people who entered the venue to watch the gig got a free cd of Myndsnare. That is awesome!!!!
Here are some reviews to the gig.
All in all, enjoyed every bit of it. Even Devoid and Exhumation were tight to the core.

Lennon A lost the semi-final
This is bad.... We were the team who were first in the group stage.... And by a big margin. We had scored double the amount of goals in the group stage.... But in the semi-finals against BPO, we were not able to score even one goal...
:-(
Lennon A lost 0-2 to BPO. BPO today were strong on defense. They got a chance in the 2 minute of the match which hit the goalkeeper Alex's hand and instead of giving a penalty, the referee awarded a goal directly. BPO, from then on, were leading the scoreline and came to a very defensive game. Lennon A were on the attack, trying to create chances near the goal, but BPO's defense was like a wall. They had Rohit Menon on the goal post and even Frank was always there at the goal. So it was quite difficult to score. Silly mistake by the Lennon A goalkeeper let the BPO take another lead and then it was BPO all the way. In a way, they deserved to win the game as they had shown the commitment to create such a strong defensive team. Cheers for them. But I will be supporting our Lennon B team who made it to the finals by beating Java in the penalty shootout. Your Duracell bunny, Jomy scored the only penalty kick after the score line was 1-1 at fulltime. This makes it Lennon B v/s BPO finals. I think BPO have the edge to win the finals coz it will be very difficult to break their defense. But Lennon B have scored against them in the group stage. And I would want Lennon B team to win. So best of luck to Lennon B team.
PS: Rohit, from the Lennon B team, while playing the semi-final game, has injured his back and would not be playing the finals. He was one of their main defensive players. And even Kim, the goalkeeper is on leave, so Lennon B has to really try hard to go past the BPO defense. And don't forget the shooters of BPO, who have been blown the shots on goal at the right time.
I am really excited about the final game which will be on Friday, that is tomorrow.
Cheers again!!!!!

Best pic from the Rink Football till now
Lennon B winsssssss!!!!
Awesome game. Has to be the best game in the group stages. BPO were the favorites as they had drawn with Lennon A. The first half was very neutral, with both the teams just running around the ball without much chances on the goal. The game was getting more physical as the time was passing by. 0-0 was the score after the end of the first half. Then, as always, the game got tougher, with Lennon B creating some close chances at the goal. Rohit almost got the ball inside but it hit the crossbar. And then was the first goal for Lennon B. which John Bosco scored in a very 'defender running in to score a goal' fashion. Lennon B were leading 1-0 and automatically I was able to see the BPO's hunger to score a goal. They almost got one goal, which I think would have hit the crossbar, but it just brushed the keeper's hand. And in Rink Football, it is a penalty (even the keeper can't use his hands). That was the only chance that BPO came close to. But they missed the penalty. And Lennon B were able to not concede any goal.
Overall, even better game than the match between Lennon A and BPO. Three cheers for Lennon B.
Here is the pic of the team for you.

Match Drawn
It was a tough game. And totally unexpected. According to the records, we were the favorites. And we were leading 2-0 till the first half. But BPO fought back, and in good fashion. They dominated the whole of the second half with quick short passes and marking almost all the players from Lennon A. They managed to score two goals with 3 minutes still remaining in the second half. Lennon A(our team) was not able to take a lead till the end. And the match was drawn. Overall, super fast game. This was the most tiring game for me in the whole tournament so far. Now I can only pray that Lennon B wins against them. And that will mean that we play BPO in the semi-finals. Wow!!!!
I will leave you with the pic of our BPO team.

Bye for now...

My Football Team at work
Day One in Blogging
Hi everyone,
It has been 3 years that I have came across blogs, bloggers, blogging, bloggoggoggoggoggogg......
And today is the first day that I plan to start blogging....
I don't know if I would be regular on this but let's see..... I am excited about this for now.... So let's make the most of it...
Have been not up to my mark healthwise, had fever in the morning when I got up... and had a severe pain in the back of the head....
So, same old boring work schedule later in the day.... Was just excited about Football match in my lunch break at work.... We had a match scheduled against the so called "Page 3" from our office. There are totally 6 teams and they are the top of the bottom three teams. We had already won our last three matches and even if he would have lost against Page 3, we would have been in the first place. And we WON, 6-0
I even scored one goal and assisted in the first goal. Cool!!!!
Feels nice. And here I am, writing about it.
So this is it for as of now.
Let's see, will make a habit of posting on this blog.
Got my jam session with one of my bands, named "Khiladi", in the evening at 21:00. Got a gig on Friday at D-Ultimate, Andheri.
So I will catch you all later and will leave you with one of my bands blog link
